Scotland - Kirk Yetholm

We made it! Wonderful walk today ... nothing hurt. Even though my feet were numb, it didn't matter because I felt so strong and so excited. The day went by too fast. I've never been so happy and sad. Part of me wishes we could turn around and walk back to Edale.

The walk to the top of Au Chope Cairn (2382 ft.) was great. Windy, wet tough climb to the top where the trail just drops off. Visibility was ~50 m. Walking down, the clouds cleared and left a beautiful view on the valley near the second mountain hut. The last leg followed the road into town. What a fantastic feeling.

Walking down the path toward The Border Inn I met some fellow walkers going the other direction. We shook hands and they congratulated me.

Rich, Brian, Gerry and I celebrated with a few pints and later that night we had a nice meal at The Border Inn. We stayed in the hostel.
After 20 straight days of walking, we were done.
