England - Horton in Ribblesdale

Wonderful breakfast at the inn down the road. We walked above Malham Cove across beautiful fields and a small forest. Moved well across a tall peak south of Pen y Ghent.

The original plan (for Brian and Gerry) was to head into Horton for the night, tackle Pen y Ghent the next morning leaving their packs in town and wild camp for the night. We persuaded them to hit Pen y Ghent the same afternoon instead of the next morning.

Pen y Ghent was much easier than anticipated and I helped Gerry out ... mostly just words of encouragement. We took a few photos on top and walked to a bunk house at Dub Cote Farm just outside of town.
