England - Globe Farm

It was a soggy night with lots of midges. Clouds of them following me around. With everything dry, we started fresh around 9:30 AM.

Lots of up and down on the way. Long slog north through a valley, over Black Hill, down the other side, up the next hill, etc. With all the up and down our change in elevation must be 200+m with every hill. This marked one of the many days that we crossed over the Pennines ... the mountainous backbone of England.

Long day, arrived at Globe Farm around 5:30 PM. We didn't really stop for breaks other than to eat a candy bar, take a few photos or adjust our packs. First really sore day. After a hopeful solid breakfast in the morning, we head to Hebden Bridge.

The two older gents from the previous night met up with us ... but we were lucky to get the last room. They camped outside.
