England - Crowden
We had a wonderful traditional full-English breakfast. Toast w/marmalade, fried tomatoes, beans, eggs, sausage and bacon. We left Glossup and caught the bus to The Grouse Inn where we started our journey back on "The Way" where we left off. We clearly found the point where we screwed up. Took a few photos and headed north to Crowden. The moors and peat bogs are impressive ... lots of grouse, some smaller unidentified birds, heather and cottonwood. In a ditch a short distance off the path was a downed B-29 superfortress (or what was left of one).
Arrived in Crowden around 4:00 PM and found a nice campsite w/a drying room and food stuff. We sat in the drying room for a while, with some soup while we warmed up. Later that evening we met two older gents walking the Pennine Way as well.
